I was born
Patricia J. Vesey, in a country town, Charlton, Massachusetts. My
love for painting and design comes from my grandmother, Belle Vesey, who
died before I was born. My sisters and I used to love to look through
the attic at stacks of old canvases, stained and cracked with age. We
pictured the "grand lady" in Victorian dress, painting at an
easel set up in Boston common or the New Hampshire countryside.
My siblings and I are
all self-taught artists, but in 1976 I became interested in decorative
painting and studied with many traveling artists from NSTDP. (Now called
the Society of Decorative Painters) I am currently a member of the
Nature Coast Decorative Artists in Spring
Hill, Florida.
My husband Mickey and I live in Lecanto, Florida. I worked five years at Crowley & Company Advertising, Inc. as mainly a logo designer and for two years designing ads, brochures and other publications for Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church. I now do free-lance design work and paint for pleasure while enjoying my children and grandchildren. Look around at my stuff and the links. I will be happy to assist you or answer any questions. pat@patotto.com
